How to Apply Your Exam Essay Sample

How to Apply Your Exam Essay SampleSo you've taken your required examination and you know that your exam has a sample of the essay attached to it. If this is the case, what do you do with it? Do you find it helpful and want to use it?If you do, good for you, but I advise against it. Your essay sample has been written by somebody who is either very busy or has a lot of time on their hands and is trying to squeeze in some extra 'ideas' before the test day begins. If you do find it useful to use the sample, this is because you're using a sample that is heavily biased toward your topic. The essay samples are often designed to favor the concepts, terms, concepts, or students that are in the general audiences. For example, a test will ask students to think about some aspect of American culture. If they are in the general audience, these people are going to be asked to write about their individual experiences, while students from an ethnic minority or more privileged backgrounds are unlikely to be asked about what they did on a daily basis. This will result in a question that falls more on the preferences of the general readers. Or, there may be two different exams with different question types and subject matter, so the test taker is unsure which questions he or she will be asked to answer. In this case, the sample will not be as useful to the individual as the test will be biased to the preference of the general readers. Therefore, before you take the exam, you must always ask yourself what the sample means to you. Is the sample specific to your career or is it general to the school or university? If it is general, then it is going to be easy for you to simply take your assigned reading. If it is specific to your career, you need to go through it and find out if it has any job opportunities specifically related to your career. Also, make sure that the sample is not just a list of words and phrases. The sample should be specific to the topic.Learn to select the sample th at is most relevant to your career. Then, apply the knowledge you gained during your previous essay writing classes and you'll be on your way to a successful exam and all the money you want!
